This was our excitement on the island of St. Maarten. They try to tell me these things are iguanas. However, I was raised in Arizona and they can't quite pull this over on me! I KNOW what Gila Monsters look like, and I think that is really what they are! Iguana is too "nice" of a name. Monster is more appropriate! At any rate, this monster came crawling down the tree (just above MY head) while Cary was in the water. I didn't screem, didn't make a scene. I did, however, watch it till it snuck up on another poor soul who DID react appropriately!
