Three Months of Anniversaries
A year ago today my mom broke her hip, and the journey began. It was three months from the day she broke her hip, until the day of her funeral. Those three months held many events, both good and bad. I've been dredding this time when our minds will constantly be going back to "a year ago today..." Mom was 85 and lived a very full life. I have said SO many times that her life was the definition of commitment. She never backed out of anything, no matter what. She was a great example. This time in her life led me on a few trips-to California, and then to Arizona. These trips gave me the opportunity to be around my own siblings-we had always been separated by distance, as well as a pretty big age span. Because of those times, our relationships are very different today. At mom's expense, we were united and will never be the same. God IS good. He gave us this gift through a very difficult time. That seems to be the way things are-if we look hard, we CAN find the good coming from a difficult situation. Sometimes we have to look hard, and maybe it even takes a little time, but I believe that God is faithful and He doesn't waste anything.

Where'd the name come from?
As I begin this adventure, I have to tell you why I chose the name I chose. I LOVE dolphins. I loved dolphins before I moved to Florida almost 22 years ago. Why? Dolphins have always demonstrated complete freedom to me. They are just out there, held back from nothing and always having a great time. Before I found complete freedom, a journey that has taken most of my life-and is still somewhat in progress, I wanted what they had. Now, they remind me of all that Jesus has set me free from. He IS the Great Physician, and I live each day of my life with Him as my constant companion. I have NO control when I see a dolphin-I'll make a scene everytime, and say a prayer of thanks to the One who has set me free!
Setting up a Blog
Well, setting up a blog has been a chore! A dear friend has been telling me I NEED to do this. She was so kind as to set it up for me today. There was just one problem. She forgot exactly HOW she set it up. We have just spent a "while" trying to figure out what she did, so that I could get on MY blog!!! This is a test, I think I have figured it out and I am now in business! I could not have done it without her help, this is a bit beyond me at this point in my computer career! She's real funny...she already sent me an email saying she wanted to see pictures on my blog. OK, here goes, I'm going to see if it worked!
