100th POST!!!

Yes, this is the 100th time I have written! I have always loved to write, and I feared that by starting this, it would "eat" a lot of my time. It does. It is worth it! It makes keeping in touch so much easier. I write when I want, you read when you want!

Just two weeks from today we will leave for Guatemala. Cary, Carissa and I will go with a group of our college kids. Guatemala was my first mission trip, the place that won my heart and forever changed the way I look at life, others, and myself. I did not send out a letter this time, so I am trusting that this will serve as a reminder to be in prayer for us while we are away. I have been known to scold people for not sending out a letter so that I could be involved through prayer. So, please pray for us! Kaylee will be flying to Atlanta to stay with friends while we are gone. Joshua and Jen will be taking care of the smallest member of our family, Spike. We will be gone July 19-28.

I have been spending a lot of time the last couple of days reading the blog of a new friend I have found. She is working in Romania, with orphans. I have been so blessed to read of her journey. Tomorrow we have a group from our church leaving for Italy. Also, another friend leaves for Italy.

I am so thankful that somewhere along the line, I learned how blessed I am when I have a part in touching other's lives. That looks different at different times. Sometimes I can invest time. Sometimes I am able to help financially. I just know that it is such an honor that God chooses to use me to love on others in whatever way is appropriate at the time. It is my desire that others see Jesus through whatever He asks me to do, and that I be obedient!

Please pray for us as we prepare to go. This will be our first mission trip with Carissa since her first mission trip, to Guatemala, when she was 11. Pray for Kaylee as she flies alone for the first time! It's a direct flight, thank goodness! I'm sure I'll have stories to tell when we get home!

My next post will be 200, isn't that funny. I only checked after I had read your.
To answer your questions...
Robin is about the same. When I got there last Saturday Ted was there and Robin was tired so she went and took a nap. They were happy to get her bracelet back. Thanks for your help.
Brad and Barb are friends of ours that use to come down in the winter. We have been up to visit a couple of times together and Dave has gone up a time or two without me. They use to own cottages but now their son has taken over. It is where Todd and Christa went on their honeymoon.
Our friends Rolf (the man that brings me a duffle bag of chocolate in the fall) and Rikki live there and have invited us to come. They have agreed to show us around. When Rolf found out my maiden name was Ottersbach he found every Ottersbach in Germany and took a vacation taking photo of where the Ottersbach's are from. He sent me a CD.

That wasn't clear. Brad and Barb live in Maine. Rolf and Rikki live in Germany.

Wow, your summer sounds so full! What a wonderful thing to do as a family. Go on a mission trip. I can't imagine that yet. I am sure you will be such a blessing and Kayle will be fine on her flight!
